The LORD's Feasts and Holy Days

To Witness For GOD

witness01When the eyewitnesses of the Lord Jesus Christ gathered on Pentecost, they were already one in mind and purpose “one accord in prayer and supplication...”1 “one accord in one place”2.

So why did they need the Holy Spirit then? Why do Christ’s disciples need it now? Was it for strength to resist temptations? A fix when we get depressed? To fortify our weak points? Personal security gear?

As traced from Scripture by Raul de Asis-Hipe during the message on Pentecost (Shavuot), May 19, the mandate which the LORD God set forth with Israel during the first Shavuot after being freed from bondage...

Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess.

“Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” Deuteronomy 4:5-6 (NKJV, ©1982 Thomas Nelson, Inc.)

...was reconnected by the Lord Jesus Christ to His followers before He returned to the Father:

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”Acts 1:8

How Does The Sabbath Bring Freedom?

sabbath_freedom“Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy...

What is it about this day, specifically prepared by the CREATOR for the physical and spiritual well-being of His creation, MAN, that we the beneficiaries IGNORE?

In the Sabbath message of April 3 during the Passover Feast, Raul de Asis-Hipe showed from Scripture how the written command itself shows the purpose of the Sabbath resistant to any man-made restriction, whether those who refuse to partake of its blessings by continuing to do their own thing, or the layered restrictions imposed by religious bodies which just as well detract from the Sabbath’s purpose ...

How did the Lord Jesus, Christ of God, the first to triumph over death, recall and remind believers of the purpose of the Sabbath? In what way did he reveal the liberty this day carried, the healing from sickness and deliverance from every form of bondage, that of the Enemy that keeps the mind bound in darkness of the lie?

HOW DOES THE SABBATH BRING FREEDOM?

Building The LORD’s Own Family

Fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, each with their own strengths, an assortment of active faults but all learning to be built by the Almighty Creator into healthy working members of the household of faith. To borrow from the apostle Paul, “Everything and in all things we learn both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need...” How much better instruments of the good news to our neighbors we can be when first we learn to build our families on the unchanging Word of God...

Rivers of Living Water

Sung entirely by our beloved Gentlemen’s Choir, accompanied by Jon Cardona on keyboard and Ralph Hipe on guitar, the lyrics refresh the only hope for all mankind when one day, the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of GOD as the waters cover the sea...

Who will “fight poverty, create jobs, feed the hungry, build you a house, fight corruption, promote unity, restore justice, upgrade education, save the earth...?” Can any man or woman even begin to work this among human minds who prefer the very same ambiguous values that caused these troubles in the first place? Who “...exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator...”? (from Paul’s letter to all who are in Rome)

“Seek the LORD while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the LORD,
And He will have mercy on him...
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.
“ For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

(from the vision of the prophet Isaiah, chapter 55)

“Prairie Prelude”

“Prairie Prelude”– sung by Arielle Hipe during the Feast of Tabernacles 2009 in Baguio City, Philippines, this exuberant composition by Greg Scheer highlights the 24 (or even less!) hours of calm on October 2, the day brethren travelled up the mountain to keep God’s Feast... the few make-or-break hours in which families awaited word whether to go or to stay, our elder Raul de Asis-Hipe, counseled during the most critical hours to rise above the chaos by the power of God’s Holy Spirit, was tested right to the very edge...

Dedication and Blessing

The Passover and the Unleavened Bread Feast 2009 opened the doors of the first full-time office space and place of assembly the LORD God is providing for the Church of God Sharing Village! A humbling surprise and entrusting of responsibility no longer "in the near future" but right now...

“In My Father’s Hand”

“I will praise Him for the dry times,
I will praise Him through the rains.
From the darkest night to the brightest morning,
blessed be His Name.

I will cling to Him in trials,
I will hide beneath His wings.
For by faith I know He’ll never leave me.
Safely I’ll remain in my Father’s hands...”

–from In My Father’s Hand, composed by Ralph Merrifield, here magnificently offered by brother and sister Ralph and Arielle Hipe...

Isn’t it a wonder how, whenever the noise of people’s faithless reasoning and deafening fears threaten to overwhelm the steadfast worker, something happens to hurl all that noise into utter silence? During the Feast of Tabernacles 2008, this was such a moment...
